Dr Vijayasarathi Ramanathan is a consultant physician in sexual health and a sexologist. After obtaining MBBS in India, he completed his Masters degree in STI/HIV at an internationally renowned institution - STI Research Centre (The University of Sydney, Australia). He then completed the Diploma in Sexual Health with the Graduate Program in Sexual Health (The University of Sydney, Australia) which won the 2009 World Association of Sexual Health award for Excellence and Innovation in Sexuality Education. Currently, Dr Ramanathan is a Doctoral candidate with the Graduate Program in Sexual Health. His special interest is in the sexuality aspects of South-Asian culture and his research is on sexual health of the South-Asian migrants, particularly examining acculturation, masturbation and help seeking behaviour. Also, he is involved in various sexuality researches, has contributed book (international edition) chapter on India, involved in successful grant applications and has also established strong links with NGOs in Australia and India. He is a current member of various international professional organisations for sexual medicine, sexual health and sexuality research. Dr Ramanathan is an accredited/professional member of ASSERT (Australian Society for Sexuality Educator, Researcher and Therapist).

Dr Shailendra Sawleshwarkar MBBS, MD, DNB, DDV
Dr Sawleshwarkar is currently a lecturer at the Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Research Centre, Westmead Hospital, New South Wales, Australia. He was trained in Medicine at Seth GS Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He undertook his residency training in medicine, dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases at Grant Medical College and completed his MD from the University of Mumbai in which he came first. He later joined Grant Medical College, Mumbai as a Lecturer in the Department of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Dermatology. He received a scholarship from the European AIDS Clinical Society to further his training in HIV at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London under the guidance of Professor Brian Gazzard. He has attended and presented papers at many Regional, National & International conferences on HIV and STIs. Shailendra has several years of STIs/HIV clinical and research experience in Australia, India, and the United Kingdom.
