About Dr Vijayasarathi Ramanathan

Dr Vijayasarathi Ramanathan is a consultant physician in sexual health and a sexologist. He completed his Masters degree in STI/HIV at an internationally renowned institution - STI Research Centre, The University of Sydney, Australia. He then completed a Diploma in Sexual Health with the Graduate Program in Sexual Health (The University of Sydney, Australia) which won the 2009 World Association of Sexual Health award for Excellence and Innovation in Sexuality Education. Currently, Dr Ramanathan is a doctoral (PhD) candidate at the same university. His special interest is in the sexuality aspects of South-Asian culture and his research is on sexual health of the Indian migrants, particularly examining acculturation, masturbation and help seeking behaviour.
